gem appraisers in los angeles?

Does anyone know of any good appraisers in Los Angeles? I have my heart set on a particular diamond, but FH doesn''t seem convinced that it''s good enough. We want to send it to an appraiser in LA so we can possibly go and see the stone in person. Any recommendations?
