Thank you Harriet. Every little bit of *dust* helps.

You''re most welcome.

Moh10, Garry, Elmo, John,
Many thanks! I'll report back in a year's time.
P.S. I'm attempting to use a Canon Rebel EOS, if that makes any difference.

Harriet I use a Canon IXUS 850 and the white balance is adjustable. Curiously, I''ve just bought a light box, lighting and tripod on Ebay as a starter kit. I saw another from China that used different lights and had a photography table that looked really good but I decided to go for the cheaper option. Here they are:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Digital-Camera-Portable-Photo-Studio-Lights-Monopod-BN_W0QQitemZ280294540473QQihZ018QQcategoryZ3860QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262 You have 4 different colour backdrops with this one. The only thing I "think" is wrong is that the lights are halogen but you can get a diffused light by shining it onto the sides of the light box.

All I wanted was a simple point-and-shoot!
