Gem Trader Dec Drop

Someone please put me out of my misery and buy these. They are so pretty but I don't need them at all.

There are also a few other nice gems but too small for me. Geez, I sound like a shrill for TGT, don't I?

there were quite a few things causing me anxiety, the ink spinel, the unheated sapphires, even the tsilly tourmaline. But at this time of year my priorities have be priorities. Besides I just spend a sapphire's cost on some fancy woods for projects. That tourmaline pair would make great side stones, or even set one aside the other!

I also think the demantoid is fantastic. I know not everyone likes the yellow-green (me included), but I think the lighter green and the blue I see here would balance it out. And the horsetail looks picture perfect--like a spiral galaxy!

Yea, sometimes that's how it is. Sometimes he'll say I don't have the stone you wanted but I have this one just like it. That was the case with a pink spinel I got from him. It was larger, cheaper and closer to the color I wanted so all worked out well.

That sapphire will haunt my dreams. Loved the tourm pair too, and the diopside & a couple others, but they were too small for me too. Brad usually has more than he puts up so it's always worth asking. Wish I weren't tapped out this month!

I like the Demantoid too. I wonder how noticeable that not spiral effect is?

I got the sapphire. I also wanted the demantoid but I wasn't quick enough there. I just picked up the sapphire today on my way to work and it's a rich blue under the fluorescent lights here. I haven't had a chance to look at it in daylight yet.

Congrats on snagging that gorgeous sapphire, Kismet. If it looks fabulous under fluorescent lights, I'll bet it will look stunning outdoors.

Kismet: I agree with your choice! That sapphire, with its amazing cutting, was the one that had my name on it in the alternate universe where I exist sitting on a pile of cash. I think you did very well and will really look forward to photos when and if you get around to it. I hope that it is as lovely IRL as it is in those pics.
