One reason that jewellers love and promote diamonds so much is that there are so many of them available. Anyone could put together a group of 10 identical diamond rings, but I'd challenge any jeweller to find 10 sapphires the same as Lost Sapphires, or 10 tsavorites that are identical to mine. The stones just aren't readily available as they are so much rarer.

There is a world of difference between a good sapphire and what mall stores call sapphires - ie black, opaque rubbish.
Thanks for the Call Out Pandora...ok I'll post mine too!

Hi LS!!! Thank you so much! I have a picture thread in BWW if you want to check it out! (sorry--Threadjack over)

sapphires are beautiful! I think that they lend themselves to great possibilities and are quite pretty. They aren''t the ordinary e-rings, which is what I like about them so much.

Here''s mine, getting a gemstone ring was my FI''s idea, he to have something that was a little different. I lurked on this site for a while before we decided on the stone and I absolutely love it! I agree with the earlier posts here that for everyday wear, a harder stone is probably best. Good luck!
