For a diamond that is typically found on multiple, large diamond listings such as pricescope (etc.), about how long after it is purchased will it be removed from those listings? How are these updated?

Hi Sodenc -

That will depend on both how frequently the company that you purchased it from updates their inventory (if it is a web-based inventory), as well as the frequency of the Pricescope updates. If you purchased a diamond from an e-tailer and still see *your* diamond listed on that company''s website or on Pricescope, you can always call the vendor and request that it be removed which I''m sure can be done immediately on their end.

I hope this is helpful.

If the diamond listing is derived from the multiple listing service used by the trade, then the diamond may continue to appear until the diamond has been reported as sold by the vendor... And this might not occur until after the vendor''s inspection and return period has passed because the vendor might not report the diamond sold to the cutter until the sale is verified as being complete - and then it depends on how often the cutter uploads their diamond inventory to the database and how often the vendor refreshes their inventory feed.

If the diamond listing is based on a diamond owned exclusively by the vendor selling the diamond, then it should come down pretty quick.

Thanks for the promt replys

. As you may have read some of the other members of this forum are having some difficulty returning stones that have not met expectations. Does the fact that a purchased stone is still listed make it any easier to return the stone (of course aside from the return policies of the particular vendor)? Or is it entirely irrelevant?
