I''m getting so excited to register now!! A little off-topic, but did any of you register without your FI? He is really uninterested and doesn''t see the point in registering because he would prefer money. So he figures if we don''t register people will just give us money. I say ''No, honey, people will just buy us crap we don''t want.''

I''m thinking about just going and starting one up this weekend...plus he''s not going to be here for another 6 weeks and I''ve already had a couple people ask where we have registered....

If he is uninterested in registering, shop by yourself. Tell your FI that my girlfriend and her now husband didn''t register and they got a bunch of candles, decorating decor, mismatched serving platters and $1250, in cash and gift cards. If you register for what you want/need, you will be more likely to get it.

My FI and I registered together at Macy''s and Crate and Barrel. It was overwhelming at first but in the end, we had fun (especially at C&B). After we set up pur initial registries, I went online and added a few things (which I still do occasionally). I run everything by my FI, just in case he has strong opinions one way or another. So far so good.

a crock pot is electric, it gets plugged in. It is also called a slow cooker. You can put stuff in, turn it on low and leave it all day.
