Getaway Spas

I have an extremely stressed out friend who is looking for a getaway spa, such as Canyon Ranch. Does anyone have any recommendations for her? Dump me on South Beach and I''m happy, so I don''t know anything about such spas.

Soweflake is just about the only spa that I have been happy with. It's located in Stowe, Vermont. It's a gorgeous time on the year there too. I have never stayed there overnight, we have a condo at Smugglers Notch (ETA: down the road!) which is a different type of resort that caters to families with children etc., but visit as often as I can! I have to run out for most of the day but let me know if you have any questions!

There has to be some good ones where the local weather is not blazing hot. I know Canyon and Miraval would be right now.
There is a Canyon Ranch in the northeast, I''m pretty sure.
Personally, I loved Four Seasons in Scottsdale, but it''s just blistering hot there now.

Thanks, ladies. It sounds like Vermont is a better idea than Arizona right now. Has anyone been to a Canyon Ranch? There's one in Massachussetts. There'll also be one opening in South Beach. Now, that's a fabulous idea!

Canyon Ranch looks beautiful but I haven''t ever been there. I may look into it because it''s so close to me though. I do love Vermont and Stowe is one of my favorite towns. Very peaceful with lots to do and a ton of restaurants.
