So happy with the results too!

.51ct 6.14x3.93mm SI2 Fancy brownihs orangy Yellow with medium green fluor. Can't wait to see the plot on it, there's all sorts of stuff included in it  (Crystal, Feather, Needle, Indented Natural, Natural, Extra Facet) The orangy bit was totally unexpected. Can't wait to finally get it sent to Patrick Irla to be made into a bee. It's either going to be an earring with a set of hydrangea blossom earrings or set onto a hydrangea blossom necklace, haven't really decided.

I am totally loving the fluorescence on that gem!

Ah... coloured diamonds have so much character...

Me too - love the glow! And the idea of having it set with hydrangea is so clever; I'm sure it'll look wonderful.

I vote necklace! I have a Patrick Irla necklace that I love!

Lovely stone!

Wow, that fluorescence is so cool.
Looks like candy.
Over half a carat is like Liz Taylor in FCDland. :o

Do you know if it was graded in NY or Carlsbad, CA, or whether both labs even grade FCDs?

Great stone as usual, congratulations, Dave!

Thanks everyone for the compliments :D

Tristan and Ginger- I LOVE fluor in diamonds in general and become a little sad when they don't have them, and really giddy when they have unusual fluor :D

TyTy: I am so torn! I've made her two necklaces so far. I love the idea of it so much though. The earrings would be so versatile though. The bee would go with so many flowery earrings.

Kenny: It was New York. Carlsbad does do them too, it's just NY is closer to me :D If it were just orangy yellow, it'd be Liz Taylorish, but that brownish knocks it down quite a few pegs. Lucky for me the vendor didn't have it graded :naughty: otherwise I wouldn't have paid so very little for it ;)

Thanks Ark, I'll post some more pictures when this little guy arrives. I've missed him LOL

Great news; it's a wonderful feeling to get confirmation on a good purchase.

Congrats! I love the green fluor too. Someone should come up with a ring setting where you can just press a button and have a backlight for your stone. Just kidding.
