GOG + Victor Canera 10 Year Upgrade!

Stunning, elegant, love it! I agree that it stands on it's own without a band. Great choice, congrats on 10 years!

Forgot to ask...how long did it take for VC to make the ring? I'm having a similar ring made by Leon, also a 10 yr anny upgrade, and it seems like the wait is forever! I absolutely love your stone, by the way. :appl:

Just came back to drool- I'm jealous!!

Jaysonsmom - I am worried about the muffin top too! Though it is so warm where I am these days and I am still afraid of it slipping over my knuckle. I will try some of the gel substance for the short term.

Mimi - It took about 4 weeks. I wasn't in any hurry, bc I thought I would wait to get it until I got home from vacation. Turns out I had it the day I was leaving and it was a ski trip so it had to be locked up in a safe for most of the time.

Here are a few more pics. I think they are getting better, but I still think I am not using the right settings on my camera, so these are from an iphone.

It's so stunning!!!! Congratulations!! :appl: :appl:

Joolz, it is a beautiful ring! Congratulations on your anni as well. You are a very strong woman to be able to leave that in a safe while you go on a trip! I don't think I could have done that!

That is one of my very favorite settings! If I ever have to change my setting my choices would be Leon's Heidy or a Leon or Victor setting with those gorgeous frenchies. Every time I see one, I lean to the frenchies. It looks beautiful on you and I hope you enjoy it every day for many many years. It is quite stunning!

Thank you for all of the nice compliments!

Backwardsandinheels – I remember seeing a picture of Wintotty’s ring worn with a band (though I believe it may have been from Tiffany). I am not very traditional and kind of a minimalist so wearing a separate band isn’t for me, but hers looked lovely. One of the things that attracted me to the design is that it can stand on its own, but I think its personal preference. As far as the height, I had asked Victor to have a slight curve on the cathedral but he didn’t want it to sit to high. It is perfect for me and doesn’t get caught on anything.

Fridays Child – I couldn’t be happier with this setting. I initially wanted a pave split shank, but I felt this would be more practical as I am pretty hard on my jewelry and I really liked that feels more durable bc of the channel walls. I will try to take more pics, I feel badly that I can’t capture the beauty of this ring in photos, in the meantime there is a video of my ring here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zriht75M7iM&list=UUjKUkZZv7JZaLvAAGWUQBaw&index=1&feature=plcp

I'm glad you're thrilled, you have a beautiful stone and ring. We think alike :) This setting also appeals to me because of it seems to be somewhat sturdy, and because it can stand on it's own. (If I do decide to go with this style, I'm not planning on wearing a band with mine either). And yet it's still very dainty and feminine looking. Thanks for the additional pictures, Victor did a great job. Congrats and best wishes again!

And BTW you should add your ring to this great thread that Yssie put together https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/the-2011-trend-the-french-sides-collection.161358/

TDF! One of my favorite styles ever! :appl:
