I know that Wink will do just fine...

He's probably selling the Dr's, Nurses, and other aids on buying some bling from him.

Recover well, and recover fast Wink.

Perry

Thank you all for the many kind words and thoughts. It appears that your prayers and kind wishes were answered. I was to have a pre cancerous lesion removed from the interior of my stomach that had been found when doing an endoscopy to assess the damage I had gotten from acid reflux.

I have been faithfully taking my medicine as well as doing some deep meditations and combining that with lifestyle modification and diet, including some herbal concoctions. When they went in through my esophogus to remove the lesion they found that it had already been reabsorbed by my body and that my lower esophogus is mostly healed over from the acid reflux.

I was actually able to attend a dinner dance this evening with my Rotary club, although I was quite tired by the end of the evening. Many are still there dancing, but Resa and I are home.

I chose this email to respond to because it made me laugh at how close to accurate it is. While I did not actually try to sell any bling this morning, I did in fact trade out the cost of the proceedure for some beautiful ruby earrings since I have a $5,000 deductible.

Wink, my husband has had the damage from acid reflux, too (Barrett''s esophagus). Prilosec has really healed it for him. Glad all went well and lucky doctor or doctor''s wife to get a little something from the shop!

You are living in the dark ages. One hundred years ago the proper response might have been to have thanked God (or one's good luck) and to have gone out to celebrate. I think the proper American response now is to sue your doctors and the hospital, Wink, for misdiagnosing you and putting you through unnecessary surgery ;-)

LOL! Maybe back East, but in Idaho we are so proud to be in the dark ages about some things.

Besides, the Doc is a kayaking buddy, and they are hard to come by. I helped teach his daughters to roll their kayaks when they were young, 9-11 years old I think. Now they are both awesome boaters and beautiful young ladies.

Some things about the dark ages were better than the new ages! Thanks for the good giggle though!

Sorry to be getting to this thread late...but I''m so happy that you are recovering and doing well!

Sorry Wink, I missed this thread, but am glad to hear you''re recovering well.

One day we''ll be neighbours, when hubby and I finally settle in Idaho. Enjoy the peace while it lasts!
