Gorgeous Antique Old Cut Diamond and Pearl Brooch or Ring. I bought this brooch/pin to convert into a ring for myself planning to smash out the pearl and put a coloured stone into there instead, but the stone I had sadly was the wrong size. The pearl has a really stunning iridescent sheen to it, so it would make a lovely ring as is or you could put a gemstone or diamond into it instead, as a bargain way to get a really stunning Antique halo as I had planned to do.....

The Brooch is made out of Platinum over yellow gold, it has 12 Old cut diamonds with a total of approx. between 0.50 and .60 carats. The stones are a nice white H colour and a VVS clarity. The pearl is a cream white with a nice shine and pretty lustre to it. Magnified or up close the pearl has some either natural surface blemishes or wear I'm not sure which, but on the hand it will not be glaringly noticeable. I bought the brooch to replace the pearl and convert into a ring anyway, but it is still nice enough to keep and wear as is.

The length of the pin part is around 6.2cms and the width about 1.20cms. It weighs 4.8 grams. The base of the pearl so where the hole is if you want to replace the pearl is around or just under 6.50mms. It is an original Antique piece not an reproduction and was made around 1925.

Asking $595.00USD which is many hundreds of dollars less than I paid for it a few years ago.... I didn't realise that the pearl is imperfect when I purchased it so it has been priced accordingly.... The cost of the platinum and diamond halo alone of this quality would cost a minimum of about 3 times what I am asking to currently get made, and it is beautifully made, so grab a bargain.

Postage to anywhere in the US signed for and full tracking is $25.00USD I'm not sure how long it will take to get to you because of COVID - 19 my postal system is still working per normal but it will depend upon the situation where you live.

That is a beautiful piece @arkieb1

Thanks Missy!!! If the hole was a bit smaller it would have had a round Cobalt spinel inside it and have been a ring already but I guess it was not to be....

This is so lovely :kiss2:

I think that's a lovely piece.

Oooohhhhh I’m just dying over this. Sigh.

Would love to transform it into an arrow pendant........

I knew this had to belong to a PSer, I sent you a message for a video but now I’m also curious about the pearl damage. can you update with photos of it? It’s such a lovely piece

I sent you a reply....

Sorry I did not get recent messages please try again or send to my email at the bottom of the new listing. I have just reduced the price from $595 to $495 USD, the brooch is in excellent condition and is a stunning piece that you could not get made for that price ie the platinum and metal and workmanship alone would cost far far more without the diamonds these days. And the diamonds alone if you were to remove them would also cost you more than this price.

Could be made into a pendant, a ring or left as is as a brooch.

I love it! Sent you an email.

Still loving this. The milgrain is so crisp! Reminds me very much of my antique ring inherited from Great Aunty. It dates between 1895 - 1905
