Thanks for all the kind words everyone. The time is ever so slowly approaching. I''m going to talk with her parents this weekend, and we leave Friday after work! So... I''m thinking about some different situations where I can get her father alone with me and not make it look suspicious. We have a birthday party that weekend and I''m hoping with the commotion I can get him away from the group without anyone noticing. Or maybe I will try to talk with him when she hops in to the shower. My mind is just going crazy with different scenarios.
As for the diamond and HCA score, I believe it was a 2.3 on the HCA. It had me worried at first but I think that was because I was comparing it to a diamond I saw on GOG which scored a 1.3. Very beautiful in the photos, but that diamond was, I think, a 1.24 H VS2 for $10,600. My diamond was only $9,350 and it was local. When it came down to it, I really wanted to try and support a local store. Plus with the setting issue, I didn''t want to have to be shipping the ring back and forth getting the setting right, ya know?
