Hey all,

Its been a while since Ive been on here. Who knew getting engaged would take up so much time.

Anyways, I posted a while back showing my fiancee's E-ring in a temporary 4 prong setting. Nothing too special, but it worked for the proposal. Well we went back to the jeweler and had a setting custom made for her. They made a wax mold of it for us to approve. It looked HUGE! We were both a bit scared and told them to take some material out of it and make the cast. So they made some adjustments, made the cast and poured in the platinum. We went back in a week later to check on the setting. It looked a bit smaller, but still much larger than her temporary setting we had grown accustom to. We asked if they could take a bit of material out to give it a more delicate look and they happily obliged. We gave them her stone and waited another week to pick it up. Unfortunately my fiancee didn't have her ring for her birthday, but she was okay with that. So we stopped in on Saturday and got the ring. Wow, it turned out great. Better than we had expected. It doesn't look huge anymore. Its a perfect size and proportion and looks great on her hand. So I though I would show some pics. The first is the before, the last 3 are the afters.

Thanks for looking and for all your help in choosing a diamond.

And the last one showing the ring is not a halo. You can get a nice unobstructed view of the whole diamond sitting there.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. We are both very happy with how it turned out. We have a wedding band in mind, but we will have to work with the jeweler to get it all customized and flowing with the E-ring. We want to make sure the wedding band can be wore separately from the E-Ring as well, so the design has to work double duty.

Beautiful! I''m sure she must stare at that gorgeous ring all day

Oh I love it! It turned out beautifully!

I love the flow of that setting. What a beautiful home for her lovely diamond.

Gorgeous ring!! Love the fluidity of the setting! And that diamond is absolutely beautiful!!

If you don''t mind, can you post pictures of the wedding band when you get it made? I want to see how the jeweler would design something that would sit flush to the e-ring and still be an independent band without the e-ring.
