Hi guys,

I'm currently thinking of resetting my ering diamond into a graduated 5 stone but was hoping to see some pics and especially hand shots of what that might look like?

I have a .9ct round diamond and hoping to set it with two .5ct rounds, and two .25 ct rounds. Anyone maybe have something similar out there?

I'm cobbling it together out of a 3 stone lazare kaplan diamond ring, and have my eye out for that last .5ct stone. My set currently is a van craeynest setting and a 1cttw 5 stone diamond band, both of which I'll be selling to fund this new project if I like the look!

This is also a 5 stone but different. The center stone is a cushion. I love it!!!

I have something similar. My center is a 0.85(6mm) center with 0.32 (4.5 mm ish) and .15 (3mm ish) on a 7.25 finger

Have you seen HOT's ring? Sounds like it might be what you're looking for! She has a 1 carat with 2 0.42s and 2 0.20s.

Thanks guys! I think HOTs and Niels are pretty good guesses at what mine might look like and I love it!
Oof, now to gather the funds and figure out who to do the setting.

Niel, do you mind if I ask who set yours?

It was done by James Allen. It was very nicely priced ended up being for the setting alone (sans diamonds) about 900 custom made in 14k.... and they did an amazing job with finding the exact dimensions I wanted. Let me get you the threads about this rings creation, had a lot to do with finding the right mm size side stones.

Yeah I mean, I can't say what it will be the same price, but I'd ask them, I mean I was honest with them that I was shopping around and just couldn't afford a lot and they worked with me..... I was actually really impressed with their custom work.
 
 
That is definitely very reasonable!
I wonder if it's because you sourced the diamonds from them though.. Hmmm.

Honestly I think its because they saw my PS posts and knew budget was my number one concern.. If you wanted to go through them, I'd ask them if they could do my ring, mentionjng yoh followed my thread thrg might try to stay around that price. I mean, would you source the side stones from them?
 
I already have 3 of the side stones in the form of a 3 stone ring, and have my eye on the perfect matching last stone. :) So I don't think I"ll need to source them from James allen..

After going through your threads I couldn't resist the temptation to do my own mock up!

Also did you see David mass (that's his name right?) Had a pretty amazing cad too and cheaper too. I just didn't go with him because wjtgcthr setting buyback and free insured shipping from JA they ended up being less.

David Class? Yeah, I've heard he does really nice work.

Haha, I think it'll fit. HOT's ring is made of stone about the same size and she's a size 4 ring, and I'll be making mine in a 5. So it should be fine. I think it just looks too big cause it's not curved, lol.

Is that him? I forget his last name, but he did some of those cads in my threads.... and I think he could make a similar simple setting like mine really well.

And yeah mine overlapped a bit on my Photoshops. And plus I mean look at Yessies
 
I also have a local jeweler I work in philadelphia who is CAD competent that I might get a quote from. She set my sapphire trillion and did a nice job and that piece was all hand carved wax.

Thanks! Will be awhile before I can put everything together.

In the mean time...I may have a new diamond band on the way...hehe
