Great experience with LOGR Legacy

I wanted to share my recent positive experience with LOGR.

I won the legacy setting that they had up for a recent auction- I requested that they set my 8mm light blue aquamarine. After I sent them the gemstone it took 5 days for them to make the setting and only 2 days to ship from China to Canada!

The diamonds were bright and sparkly with no eye visible inclusions, the workmanship is fantastic. the setting is well made and sturdy (also very comfortable to wear). the bezel around my aquamarine is clean and very well done.

I did contact LOGR because they didn't put the milgrain on the setting which was on the setting I had won on the auction- i contacted LOGR and they said I could return it and have another setting made for my aquamarine- I chose to keep the setting because it's very beautiful (minus the small mistake of forgetting the milgrain) so in exchange for keeping it. LOGR removed the customization fees and the sizing fee on the setting. I am extremely happy with the service and product I received.

In fact I went to Tiffany's yesterday and was looking at their legacy rings and my ring looks like it fits right in- if not better because my aqumarine is twice the size of theirs and like 99% less expensive LOL.

anyways I just wanted to share my positive experience with you all! :wavey:

I LOVE IT!!! Ha ha!! Thanks for sharing your experience!! Wow, sounds like his customer service is getting better.

Can you post some pics????

Thanks for sharing your great experience. It's good to know of your positive experience. Do you have pictures to share? I'd love to see your beautiful ring!

I have bought few settings from him in the past, and this was by far my best experience with both customer service and quality :D
my last LOGR buy was about a year and a half ago, and I can see a difference in his service since then

Did you upgrade the diamonds? I kind of swayed away from LOGR since his customer service was starting to lag behind, and his prices just kept going up. Also, I found that you had to always upgrade the diamonds as the SI quality was very inconsistent. Maybe he's trying to get back his old customers, because he certainly lost me. I'd really love to see pics.

This is great news!
And congrats on your new ring!
I would love to see pictures of your new ring

I didn't upgrade and they're SI, but they're very clear and bright. I was a bit scared to get it because I know especially with auctions the diamonds are inconsistent but I opened the box and was pleasently suprised!

I have blackberry pictures but honestly they're horrible. it does not at all represent the quality of this ring. I'm willing to share though!

Very nice! Even though the photos are blurry, you can see the overall dimensions of the ring, and the sparkle of the diamonds.

I know they are horrible. I warned you!! the aquamarine is light in colour and is cut well with a watery blue colour its my favorite colour, whereas I know the industry standard for aquamarine is Santa Maria colour- but I've always loved this colour! I NEED a new camera (mine was destroyed on my last vacation by sand :angryfire: )

I am very happy with this ring- and that's why I didnt send it back to have the milgraining added. I didnt want to risk not getting back the same quality!

A good jeweler can always apply millgrain to the piece if you ever decide to do that, but it's still nice, even without the millgrain. The overall look is very Tiffany, except you didn't pay $7900 (the last time I checked the pricing on their aqua legacies). You've got to be thrilled about that!

I was seriously considering buying a tiffany legacy, but I wanted a 2+ carat aquamarine....which was almost $11,000. the 7900 I think is for a 1.7 ct stone.

maybe in future I will ahve the millgrain added, but for now I am very happy with my ring!

Those prices are nuts! I think you can buy a super awesome handmade ring from Leon Mege for $11K, with a very nice colored gem.

Yeah, I would be happy too. Congratulations on your excellent purchase! :appl:

   looove leon mege!! thanks tourmaline lover- i look forward to seeing your next few projects!

Wow, this is the first time I've heard of LOGR setting a customer's loose stone - back when I bought settings from them, they didn't offer that service. I've always thought the legacy-style setting was one of their best, and I'm glad you're pleased with how it turned out! I did the same thing with a blue topaz a couple years ago. It's hard to plunk down the cash for a Tiffany's when you have options like this, isn't it?!

I get so annoyed when people sneer at "Chinese" settings. If you get a good one they are surprisingly good quality with excellent diamonds and workmanship. Just because you knock off a few zeros from the price it doesn't mean that you're getting something inferior. It actually means your a savvy shopper!

Very many congratulations and enjoy wearing your lovely ring.

I love having the option, I own quite a few tiffany pieces, but when it comes to certain items such as the legacy...I was unsure if it was the best bang for my dollar...therefore I decided to try the logr legacy, which was well worth it. If I decide to invest in a platinum version with VVS diamonds I will probably still be going with a LOGR vs. tiffany!

thanks LD, I don't understand that either. just because your overpaying at local store or a big name store doesn't mean that the semi mount didn't come from a chinese vendor! in fact I know someone who owns a very high end jewellery store- 3 to be precise, and almost all of his settings come from Chinese vendors sourced through trade shows.

The ring is lovely! I'm glad you had a great experience with LOGR. Nice to know they now can set stones too!

Beautiful ring. I recently purchased the 8 mm LOGR Legacy-esque setting as well, and am anxious to have it arrive. I had them set it with one of their stock citrines so I had something to wear. Ultimately, I am going to reset with a Spessartite, but the search for the perfect stone could take awhile.

it will be worth it!! let us know how you like your ring when you receive it :wavey:

Great story. I also love my settings from LOGR - great quality and great price. I had issues of wrong sizes etc but if we sent the stones to them .. the problem is solved. However, I am still stuck with several settings with no use.

Lovely ring. :appl:

It's stunning! Great job!! :appl: :appl: :appl:

Thanks! I noticed it's Canadian. Is there a separate site for the US?

you can just go on ebay.com and search for lord of gem rings. I'm canadian so i tend to go on ebay.ca instead.
