If I am spending a significant amount of money on a gem, I would not buy one without a lab memo and even then, I would go for a high tier lab such as GIA, AGL, SSEF and Gubelin. In terms of which stone to pick, I don't know how accurate your pictures are and also back to the first point, no lab report = not buying it. Another thing I noticed is that the higher quality the emerald, the worse it photographs.

As for the parcel, do you have enough stones that match in size and colour and shape to make a bracelet? I noticed that they aren't all pears or the same size.

That's very helpful infor, Chrono. Thank you.

I took lots of pics - the ones I posted are the most representative of the colour IRL. I'll say this though : the oval one is priced at $3,000 p.c. and it's the one with the GRS cert, whereas the other one is $7,500 p.c. and it's uncerted. I am tending towards the oval and will ask the vendor to send it to either GIA or Gubelin, both of which are based in Hong Kong so it shouldn't be that hard.

Oh incidentally, the oval is exactly 3ct and the cushion is a bit above 3ct (but I forget the exact weight).

Re the parcel of smaller stones, they have lots. I will choose ones - when I go back - that are more matched in terms of size. I don't mind the different shapes. There's another parcel of all ovals but they're quite a bit more pricey at $2,000 p.c., which I am not inclined to do at this early stage in the learning process.
