Guesstimate how much this ring is worth?

My grandma gave me a ring... I was wonder if anyone could tell me the value?

No way for us to know. For all we know it's fake and only worth $20....Do you have any specs? (Metal, diamond size, color, clarity, measurements etc)...

The main stone looks pretty small; my guess is that most of the value it is going to be sentimental (as it is with the diamond that came from my grandmother, and also her pearls). Settings are rarely worth much. If I were you I'd take it to a jeweler to get an estimate on the size/color/clarity of the main stone, and then do some internet research on diamonds of that size.

I agree, definitely have it independently appraised.
But, it seems like there's a (maybe? "plat") stamp partially visible in your photo? Can't really see it all the way.
I hope you are pleasantly surprised by what an appraiser has to tell you!

That was my guess. Assuming this is plat I've seen similar rings in eBay from 700 to 1300
