Hi everyone... i have been on this thing for a month researching what kind of stone to get...and i have finally narrowed it down to these two... i would appreciate and feedback ( carat should be bigger to fit setting, or dif color, clarity exe) thank you.

(1.29c) http://www.uniondiamond.com/diamonds/diamonds.php?item_id=AB595640&search_type_id=2&action_type_id=2&network_id=0cf05810a0f83094f6e9972ef21cdd34

(1.30c) http://www.brilliance.com/diamonds/search/ViewDetails.aspx?id=17399859&styleID=&SN=BSN0001042797

this is the setting which i don''t know to get in 14k ($1,980) or 18k(2,160) ... would appreciate any feedback on this also.

Will need at least an ASET image to judge princess cut in cut performance.

i copied an pasted the link thinking that people would be able to click on the link and see the site... the 1.29c H VS2 ($5319) is very good cut NO Fluorescence. The 1.30c H VS2 ($5454) is an excellent cut but with a FAINT of Fluorescence. Is the cut worth the extra money and a faint of Fluorescence.

There is no ASET image in the link. Ask the vendor for ASET image and then post it here when you receive it.

I emailed Union Diamond for that info. Hopefully they can provide me with those images so i can post them asap. Thank you for the help stone.

made them clickable

It is always a good idea to ask the diamond vendor to set the diamond since they will take financial responsibility during the setting process. That is a stock setting. When you pick a diamond ask the vendor if they can get that setting for you.

Just when i thought that i had narrowed it down to 2 diamonds i found this... and i think the price is good. Union diamonds emailed me saying that it would take awhile before they can send me the ASET.... is seems that all these online sellers use the same distributor and they don''t have the diamonds on hand.
Can anyone give me their opinion based on the data on the charts?

In fact these are all virtual diamonds and you can order them from any company. Again, can't say much without images for a princess cut. I persoally would only buy fancies from a company that had the diamonds in house.

i''m really leaning towards the 1.30c. Union is receiving the diamond tomorrow and will email me the ASET images. Now the problem is that i found the exact same diamond ( Varified the GIA Number) for almost $250 less on brilliance.com . . . i mentioned this to their senior staff gemologist, Heleena Shore, and she said they probably would not be able to match this price. -= (

i was never able to obtain an ASET from anyone...

the Princess cut 1.30c H VS2 ideal,ex,ex plus 18k white gold 3 stone ring with accents (8 diamonds total) .96C G VS good cut Channel for a total of $7,257.73 (wired) through brilliance.com... does that sound good?

this is the aset of the 1.30 c H vs2 ideal/ex/ex she said it came out blurry because they only have a hand held aset

ASET.gif

sorry... that was not an ASET image this is the email;;

" I have attached a photo of the diamond and also an Idealscope image of the stone. The ASET just did not come out right, we could not get a sharp image, as I told you before, we have a hand held model and they do not always come out. I hope this will suffice as you can see, the diamond appear quite nice. I think it is a beautiful stone."
