You look beautiful thing2! I don''t have any input because I''m kind of confused as to what I''d like as well. The ones that sit higher up on the head are looking really pretty to me though. I have super fine straight hair as well, so I''m really enjoying all the ideas!

Wow, thank you CDNinNYC! Those are all gorgeous! I like the ones a little bit higher on the head and you gave me so many choices! I can''t decide if I like the simpler buns better (like #1) or the slightly more involved ones (like #3). I think I like the more formal slick ones better than the casual ones with my dress.

And I LOVE the pictures of Audrey Hepburn! Those will be my inspiration, seriously! Thank you!

And thank you iwanna and Kelli! I''m blushing over here!

Are you planning on wearing your veil all night? If so, then any of the options you''ve seen would be lovely.

However, if you''re not, you have to find the right style that will allow for a seamless exit. Otherwise, you can disrupt the foundation of the hair style and it can get messy. Veils usually have combs that need to be based properly, which is the only reason I bring this up.

A compromise, depending on if you''re having your hair done on location, is asking your stylist to stay to remove the veil after the ceremony and touch it up if need be.

Thing2, your dress is one of the prettiest I''ve seen on PS! You look so cute! Alas, I dont have any hairstyle suggestions for you, I haven''t looked into updos since I''m keeping my hair down. BUT, I love the second picture Freke posted. It''s such a timeless graceful knot, I think it would go exceptionally well with your dress!

Hmmm...I''m not sure if I''ll wear the veil all night. What do people normally do?

And what would you recommend for a hair style that will allow the veil to be removed without messing everything up?

I''m getting my hair done at the salon so I won''t have the stylist with me on site. Thanks for bringing this up-I hadn''t thought about it!

Thank you, kama! I love that kind of knot too...I can''t decide if I like that or more bun-like styles the best...decisions, decisions!

Most people take the veil off for the reception. I''m definitely taking mine out. Also, I dont think taking out the comb will mess up your hair much. I''ve tried to take off my veil with my hair tied, and it doesn''t mess it up much at all. Have a friend take it out for you carefully.

It''s about split 50/50. Some brides actually bustle their veil, and it''s a lovely, dramatic look. I bustled mine, and have no regrets about that at all.

If you''re planning on wearing it high and removing it, then you should have it tucked neatly into the top back of the bun or chingnon. Tucked into the base of the style, on top, will lend support to the comb which it needs to grab and stay...but pulling it out will not effect the smoothness of the crown area nor the actual design.

Make sure you have a BM with you when your stylist puts the veil in so they can see how it should be removed. Encourage her to request a demo, and ask lots of questions.

And as far as Kama telling you there is "no problem" removing a veil, well in some cases thats true...but its not always the case for a formal sleek style where ever hair is/will be place with a purpose (like you''re having)...Kama''s style is very free form and loose (we call that a bed head updo) but yours is not. Ergo you will have different challanges and expectations for your style than she will have with hers.

Thing 2,

I love the higher hairstyles, they are very similar to the style I wore on my wedding day. It seems like we have very similar hair, and I will tell you, I could not get the fullness I wanted bun without extensions. It''s just really hard to get that big full look if you have fine hair. After an initial trial where we discovered this, my stylist bought extensions for me, it was actually just one long strand about 2 feet wide and she wrapped it around my own ponytail so that she had enough hair to work with to create the huge bun I wanted. No one could tell that I had the extensions in at all and I was so happy with the way it turned out, so I''d definitely consider getting them. I also removed my veil for the reception, the stylist showed my MOH how to gently take out the comb and I had no problem. As Italia said, I''d just make sure the stylist knows you are planning to take it out and shows you the best way to remove it without messing up the style.
