Oh. My. Gawd. I''m so close... but can''t seem to find JUST what I''m looking for. Here''s a basic description of what I''m looking for:
1) 3-4MM band (platinum) with square edges and tapered band. (as in: http://www.whiteflash.com/golden-wardrobe/zoom.aspx?ItemCode=128) & (http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-platinum_3480)
2) Half-bezel - rounded at end-of-bezel corners, not squared-off. I LOVE this ring-- (as in: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/ering-from-mark-morrell-just-arrived.26546/) (Unfortunately, the designer Mark Morrell is NOT accepting new orders! ARGH!)
3) The bezel setting should NOT be closed at the bottom (as in: http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-platinum_3480), but open and simple like the second pic here: (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/ering-from-mark-morrell-just-arrived.26546/) In other words, the culet should be seen.
3) I''m still undecided about the three-stone or solitare stone-- ma'' girl doesn''t ever wear jewelry-- and is utilitarian at best. So, I''m open to either setting.
4) Also, this has probably been asked a million times-- but the shape of the Morrell ring-- I think it''s called a Euro cut vs a traditional round ring-- any advantages? Does it spin less?
5) Lastly, a lower center-stone bezel setting-- something good for an active person-- would be best. (as in: (http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-platinum_3480)
Modern. Elegant. Simple. That''s what I''m after.
This is my FIRST post-- and so many THANKS in advance for any of your suggestions!
