Oh. My. Gawd. I''m so close... but can''t seem to find JUST what I''m looking for. Here''s a basic description of what I''m looking for:

1) 3-4MM band (platinum) with square edges and tapered band. (as in: http://www.whiteflash.com/golden-wardrobe/zoom.aspx?ItemCode=128) & (http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-platinum_3480)

2) Half-bezel - rounded at end-of-bezel corners, not squared-off. I LOVE this ring-- (as in: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/ering-from-mark-morrell-just-arrived.26546/) (Unfortunately, the designer Mark Morrell is NOT accepting new orders! ARGH!)

3) The bezel setting should NOT be closed at the bottom (as in: http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-platinum_3480), but open and simple like the second pic here: (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/ering-from-mark-morrell-just-arrived.26546/) In other words, the culet should be seen.

3) I''m still undecided about the three-stone or solitare stone-- ma'' girl doesn''t ever wear jewelry-- and is utilitarian at best. So, I''m open to either setting.

4) Also, this has probably been asked a million times-- but the shape of the Morrell ring-- I think it''s called a Euro cut vs a traditional round ring-- any advantages? Does it spin less?

5) Lastly, a lower center-stone bezel setting-- something good for an active person-- would be best. (as in: (http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-platinum_3480)

Modern. Elegant. Simple. That''s what I''m after.

This is my FIRST post-- and so many THANKS in advance for any of your suggestions!

Here is a beautiful ring by Cross Jewelry.

This semi bezel by Ritani shows more of a profile of the diamond.

This is a Sholdt ring. It is not a semi-bezel, but the profile is gorgeous!!

And here is a semi-bezel three stone again from Sholdt.

Here''s the Keystone from Whiteflash.

And I LOVE this one!!! True Love by Whiteflash. Clean, modern, but not bulky. Delicate and beautiful!

I love that Ritani above.

Also, don''t mean to sidetrack you...but the setting Movado uses here is really great. It is called a QUARTER Bezel. I suppose they are protecting the design by being reserved in showing other images...if you have a retailer close, it is worth a shot to pop in and look. (that diamond is not a hearts and arrows cut...it is not what I am recommending here. Just the idea of the smaller bezel design of the ring...as I think that is what you are focusing on.)

Also, have you considered a tension set instead of a bezel?

ElleChris has the most beautiful Sholdt ring you can see it in her avatar...but it is so much more impressive in a large image. Perhaps this post may coax her into sharing a photo? Elle it is stunning! Give us a peak!

Also Gelin And Abaci offer some stunning tension sets that appear bezel from the top.

When set correctly, your bezel style choice and a few tension sets will provide a hearty stamina for daily use. I wouldn''t hesitate on that.

I too love the modern sophisticated clean line you are striving for. They look more like art/sculpture to me...than jewelry. Not that jewelry is bad...OMgosh...that is not what I meant...I just like all things modern.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

A BIG THANK YOU to "Upgradable"-- I love the Sholdt ring-- and they''re located right here in Seattle coincidently!

PLEASE keep those great ideas coming!
