half round or comfort fit

We are going to be ordering an inexpensive wedding band to go with my ering.

I am just wanting a plain band, nothing fancy for now. I have been looking at weddingbands.com and I see half round and comfort fit. I haven''t found a store to try them on in. so I am wondering what would feel more comfy? Half round or comfort fit? Would half round be more feminine? I would most likely order the 2mm

The comfort fit looks almost like a round tubular type ring and the half round looks flat on the inside of the ring..

anyone have either of these stlyes and care to share what you think?

My personal preference is for low-dome comfort fit bands, but really everyone is so different... I have a high-dome comfort fit that looks tubular as you described, and I find the high profile in such a thin width to be somewhat uncomfortable. I think both the bands you are considering would be of this style, because bands are usually high-dome unless specifically stated otherwise, in my experience.

Those are two different things. Comfort fit refers to whether it is "comfort fit on the inside." "Half round" is the shape of the ring. I guess they are selling their "non-comfort fit" rings in the "half round" shape. I think the first thing you'd want to do is whether you'd like comfort fit or not. I think they advise you get comfort fit for rings 4 mm and up for comfort reasons but you can get it from them down to 2mm. If you are going to buy a ring from e-wedding rings, another thing to look at is the depth of the ring- that is listed in a chart on each ring's page. I'd want to know anyway, but they happen to list it.

I have a 3mm half found band with diamonds flush set on the top. I was initially worried about it being uncomfortable because it wasn''t comfort fit but it is extremely comfy to wear.

One thing I noticed, though, was when I wore the ring all the time I started to get a bit of peeling skin on my finger under the band. I think this happened because the flat profile on the inside has more contact with the finger than a comfort fit band so it traps water when wet. I don''t wear it in the shower anymore.

I have a 3mm comfort fit, and I spent A LOT of time deciding which band to choose. Who would have thought that a simple band could be so complicated! You can sort of see the roundedness in this pic. I love my 3mm, but I''m not sure how a 2mm would look. I chose the comfort fit because I like it to feel heavy (Mine is 2mm thick, which I think is a little thicker than most). I will be wearing this next to my solitaire, but a half round would have probably fit more closely to my solitaire. I wanted the comfort fit, though, because I will also be wearing it on its own pretty often, and it just seemed more substantial to me. And I never thought I would say this about a ring, but it is VERY comfortable! It feels like silk to take on and off!

Thank you both for your input as well. Good things to think about. Depth is important as well. I will check that out. Wolftress I can see not liking that either. That was my thinking when I look at the flat underside of a ring.

My ering will be 2 mm -2.5 so I thought 2 mm for a band would be a nice size. Maybe I should think of 3mm? Hmmmm

And yeah, who knew a simple band would have a person thinking about so much...

My ering is 2.5 mm, and I love the look of 3mm wedding band with it! I am about to start a thread for my wedding set, so stay tuned for pics of them together
