Half vs 3/4 vs full?

I am ordering a wedding band in this style. I want it to be something that I don't have to take off, basically ever. I know this isn't really recommended but I lose and forget jewelry so if I want to wear it I basically need to leave it on. I wear my engagement ring about one day out of 7 because I never remember to put it on and I've misplaced it many times (at home so I get it back, but still). I'm looking at half vs 3/4 vs full eternity. Can I ask what you have gone for, and why, and any regrets/recommendations?IMG_0571.PNG
 
I like the 3/4 band. It's easily sized if necessary but if it spins around on your finger your gems aren't all on the inside (bottom).
 
Does your fonger size change much with the different seasons? Mine does and for that reason, I find 3/4 really awesome. I just went .5 size up because I didnt like how tight my rings were. 3/4 gives more flexibly and when the right size, I don't find that they spin that much. However, if you are comfortable with your ring size, then go for a full eternity, I love how they look. I would get it at least 0.25 size larger than your e-ring.
 
I'd vote for 3/4 because if you do 1/2 then the slightest shift will expose the bare metal.

I really don't know. I've only had the engagement ring for a year and in that time I have had a baby, and lost 20 pounds and the seasons have changed from summer to winter. So I have lost a half size but who knows what was the major contributor to that.
 
My personal preference is half because it's more practical and suits my lifestyle.

I don't think I'd ever go for full, as in the main they can't be resized which could prove problematic in the future, so 3/4 is a good compromise.
 
3/4 so it can be sized.

What I do is I have one crystal ring holder in my bathroom, and that is the ONLY place I put my rings when I take them off. I never lose my rings since I always know they are there when I am not wearing them. And they are there near my sink so I put them on after I get dressed in the morning. I am sure they'd be long gone had I not done this and instead took them off and left them in random places! So it's really simple to have one place that you take off your rings!
 
3/4 so if it moves slightly it wont show metal but can also be resized.

Ditto diamondseeker...I only put my rings in 2/3 places. I have a ring holder in my kitchen for when I need to work with messy food. I also have
a bottle of jewelry cleaner in my kitchen where I will also put them on occasion. The other place is in my closet where I take off all my jewelry
everyday. If you have a ONLY a few places where you will put them, then it makes it harder to lose them.

From personal experience never use paper towels to dry off your rings. I once threw away two rings because I left them on the counter in crumpled
up paper towels to dry. Now all I EVER use is a jewelry cloth to dry my rings because I know I will never throw it away.
 
I had a band made exactly like that (but alternating with sapphires), and it drove me crazy when it turned... so I say 3/4 or even 7/8, just leaving a small space for sizing.
 
3/4 that way if it shifts a little, you wont see plain band and still can resize if needed. I have some 1/2 and they drive me NUTS.

Also, like DS and TYTY, i only put my rings in one spot. I have a ring holder on my vanity and as soon as i get home, i take them off and they go on that holder. It's the last thing i put on before leaving for work in the mornings too. Otherwise i'd forget or definitely lose them. It's a habit now and i feel weird walking around the house with my rings. My kids know not to dare touch the rings on that specific holder, too.
 
As others have said, eternities are tricky. I won't even mention how much weight I gained when I was pregnant, but after losing the weight, my fingers were 3/4 size smaller than before (from 5.5 to 4.75)... Luckily, DK worked his magic on my eternity and it's somewhere in between a 4.75 and 5. But I'll have to think long and hard if I ever upgrade my eternity... it's tricky. I really like the 7/8 option though. :)
 
@msop04 Woah on the ring size change POST baby! :) So glad that's DK was able to modify them for you!

OP congrats on you baby! So exciting! I think 3/4 or 7/8 will be a safer choice for future resizing, if needed. The band will be gorgeous either way.

I was kinda worried I'd keep the swollen sausage fingers forever, but thankfully, that wasn't the case! <whew!> DK didn't even remove a bezel -- he moved the bezels more closely together! He's a magician. LOL
 
Neither. I would go full because any view of metal in what should be an eternity band bugs me. And my rings spin a lot on me so it's a real problem. If they don't spin for you I would go 7/8 like @msop04 said.
 
Ok I had asked for a 3:4 quote and got this back. I'm not sure if it's the same ring - the shapes seem smaller? I quite like it but I spent a long time looking at hand shots for the one above and this would be buying blind (and is non refundable because it's a custom order).

You need to decide the width you want this ring to be. That will determine which you choose.

Quality differs. Who made the first two bands? I think the second looks better than the first.

The first two are both through ID jewelry. They don't have a mm measurement on the listing but I did ask and they said 'about' 2mm. This is the ring on another pricescopers hand. I think it will be sufficient. I have worked myself up and need to talk myself back down!IMG_1057.PNG

I think it looks good The milgrain looks small and nicely done. If you have any doubts, I'd have them send you a stock ring to try on before you do a custom order.
 
I don't think I'd pay so much more for the BG band but that's just me! IDJ's eternity version was about half of that price I think and I know they'd provide beautiful quality.

One difference I see which also makes me prefer the IDJ version is that BG only puts 1 round diamond in the marquise shape, whereas IDJ's version has 2 diamonds in there. I feel like there's empty space in the BG version around that one diamond that I don't think I'd like but perhaps it's not that noticeable in person.
 
I would go for the custom 3/4 eternity. I think that a more delicate version will look even better with your solitaire. I also prefer the IDJ version of this band.
 
I prefer the second ID band that you just posted. I like the 2 small stones in the marquise vs the 1 in the BGD. I think it adds more interest. Of course
the BGD stones will be the better quality but I prefer the IDJ one.
