Halo Bezel Pendant from BGD

That's great! Looks pretty awesome.

I would love to see some more photos, if you get the opportunity.

I was also looking at a J stone for the center.

Do you have any issues with it flipping over? Or any issues, in general?

Thanks for your help!

I think this would be an extremely tasteful wedding gift. The vintage look is perfect for a wedding day. And it has just the right amount of bling to be dressy for future occasions without entering the realms of the vulgar. I'd think a nice .50-.60 stone in the centre would be perfect. She'll be overwhelmed!

I have it with a .94ct I color. It's beautiful and has quite a presence! It does flip over at times but the good thing is that the back side is detailed and very pretty as well. Sorry but I don't have any photos other than my glamour shots. If you would like I'll gladly get you some.

Sounds great!

I would love to see some more photos.

Thanks for all your help!

NIce gift - very wearable!

I'd love to see some more photos, if anyone has them.

Looking great so far!

Are you busy picking out a centre stone?

Lovely for a bridal gift - I would have been thrilled to have received this on my wedding day!

I appreciate all of the feedback!

I'd still love to see some more photos, with different size center stones.

Please post, if you have any!

Thanks!

I think the pictures in my thread are better at capturing the sparkle. The melee is extremely flashy. These are to show some perspective on size. I increased the chain length to 18 inches, but am debating getting a jump ring at 17 inches to wear it a bit shorter.

These are post-workout pics in powder room lighting, so the one with me looking very pale is my actual skin tone, the other is more yellow/orange.

The center stone is a .5 ct, but not ideal cut (my original e-ring).

Anyway, they're not great shots, but you asked for more, so here's what I have.

Oh, and to answer your question, it does sometimes flip. It doesn't flip top to bottom, it flips left to right, if that makes sense to you. I almost think that if the chain were threaded through a bit lower, like at 10 and 2 positions on the halo, it might not flip (it's more 11 and 1 right now). The chain holes in the back of the setting are fairly close together, that contributes to the flipping IMO. Now, the back is quite lovely, the nicest back to a stock setting that I've ever seen. Bear in mind that this is a stock setting that BGD purchases from another manufacturer in set sizes. They can make it custom, but it will cost quite a bit more. I think there are some options to vary the center stone size, but you could not change the melee size or back, for example, without going custom.

In terms of proportions, this is more of a cluster look and less of a halo, IMO. These are 5 point melee, which are substantial when compared to the center stone. You don't get a center stone with a delicate halo, you get more of a disco ball effect, where the melee are super glittery and there's a noticeably different type of flash from the center stone. These are not the proportions I'd choose for a ring, but this is more of an overall bling look that gives a lot of presence. The vast expanse of neck and torso makes stones look smaller than they look on fingers, so this satisfied my need to be able to really see and notice my diamond pendant.

I've gotten lots of compliments on this. It's hard to capture how sparkly it really is. I've seen other halo pendants IRL, and never one that holds a candle to the performance of this necklace.

Those would be a great surprise to be accepted on wedding. :) She would definitely love it. :)

Thanks very much for posting the pictures and comments!

It looks great. Excellent presence, without looking too over-the-top.

I appreciate your help!
