Halo Help - What size diamonds to use in halo? 1 pointers?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for any help you all can provide on halo engagement rings. My boyfriend and I are currently in the process of designing a custom halo ring to replicate the Tiffany Embrace ring.

We had a wax ring made with 1 pointer diamonds in the halo b/c I wanted a halo that looked "as one" with the center stone - but the 1 poiners in the wax looked really small? Wax renderings aren't the best to help see exactly what it will look like IMO. So our jewler is going to have the goldsmith try a wax model with 1.5 pointers - will that be too big and bulky for the halo I am trying to achieve (simliar to the embrace)..

Please, any help would be greatly appreciate to a novice here

What size is your center stone. .5-1 pointers should be fine for a stone fine unless its very very large

ETA : Here is a very similar one ritani makes and I believe they use .5 pointers

Thank you for responding! My center stone is 1.02 carats.

The current wax mold had "1 pointers" in there.

The second wax mold will have "1.5 pointers" in there.

Thoughts? "2 pointers" looked way to large on the CAD rendering.

I would do 1 pointers. My ring is a ritani similar to what i posted you and i have a 8.5x5.5 pear, and the .5 pointers are perfect for me. The first go round the bench i went to used 2 pointers and it was extremely overwhelmed the center. There was a lot wrong with that setting, but you can see from the picture at least that among other things, the melee is too big
