I just got back from Penticton / Kelowna / Salmon Arm (my FI lives in Salmon Arm, his parents in Kelowna, and we are looking for property in Penticton/Naramata), and it was absolutely, uncomfortably smokin'' hot!! (as in 37 - 39!)

Looks like we''re going to get our Stampede weather after all.

Thanks for the kind wishes. I had thought that I''d be posting more on here (especially on BWW), but man, am I busy (the wedding less than a month away and the ongoing property hunt doesn''t help!). I will be sure to post pictures, and thank you for the lovely compliment!

Still working on the DBTY... I was thinking of this as a wedding gift from FI, but we''ll see how all of that transpires.

Happy Canada Day to everyone back home!! This is only the second Canada Day I have missed giggle - once on my 40th bday - I just totally skipped the country for that one - giggle and then for this one! I am sure there will more in the future - but I think of my fellow Canadians on this day and raise my cup to our troops who are serving!!!!
I was talking to my folks in Nova Scotia this morning - that is where I live - and it was warm and sunny there - not sure of the temp I never thot to ask! Poor folks - they are missing their Canada Day baby - giggle - what a rude awakening when you realize that all those parades and fireworks weren''t for your birthday - giggle :} As you can see I have the conceit in the family - giggle :}

HAPPY CANADA DAY!! Just about to head out to the festivities, food fair, amusement rides for the kids..fireworks tonight! Here in Ontario, it''s a beautiful, suny weekend, yesterday the high was about 30 celcius, today a little cooler..but nonetheless..a gorgeous day! Enjoy the loooooooooong weekend, what''s left of it!!

Back for a long 2 day work week here in Calgary after an awesome Canada Day. Any other Canadian''s read the Globe yesterday? Makes me feel all patriotic and stuff - we really lucked out when we landed here.....

What are they called again? I spent the last two July’s out in Calgary for school and had a great time! I love being in Toronto during the summer because there’s so much to do, but it feels weird not being in Calgary right now. Will you eat some ice cream and donuts for me
