Happy Diwali, Pricescope <3

Wishing to all those who celebrate all the best. A happy and healthy new year. ❤️

Happy Dewali to all!!!

Happy Diwali! One of my closest friends is Indian and she invited me to her place last night to celebrate :) I got to wear her 22ct bangles! And she had rangoli crafts for the kiddos.

Thank you all!!

I can post pics of food! I don’t really post pics of myself ever to public fora :???: but I hope food pics will do? I did some cooking for a Diwali dinner so I have pics of that! Some of the dishes here aren’t pictured… I was still working on the fish when my friend took this pic. So I got a pic of the fish on my plate already mixed in with the rice. The second picture is my disastrous attempt at halwa. We ended up going with the store bought sweets instead:lol:

And ok, since this is a bling forum… one pic of bling :D

My Diwali day earrings. They’re traditional kundan-jadau earrings, metal is gold but the stones here are glass and not polki so they weren’t expensive. I just loved them when I saw them and had to have them!

These are called chaandbaalis (chaand = moon, baali = earring) and the string of pearls you see is called a “Sahara” which means support. The string wraps around the ear and is meant to support the weight of the earring on my ear.

Happy Dewali, and please show us your festive food!

DK ;))2

Enjoy your holiday!

So that’s how people wear these earrings!

Beautiful. Enjoy the holiday.

I have pairs that are also big/heavy but that I don’t wear saharas with, so it sort of depends. Bling-dots help too! But this pair looks better with the saharas so that’s why :D

Thank you!
