I think you will be much happier with the WF ACA than anything Jared''s was offering!!! Looks like a beautiful stone. Congrats!!!

I agree, just the way Whiteflash has worked with me compared with the pushy setting of Jared''s, not to mention the quality of work I know I am going to get from Whiteflash... also I''m very excited to see what the finished product will look like when they take their pictures, they really have some great shots I''ve seen here and on their site.

Looks like you are really honing on on a decision! Awesome! The design looks great. As to the metal, I would ask WF which they recommend for engraving. One metal may wear better over time than the other. I am also not sure how rhodium plating would work with engraving. So see if they have advice there. You may also want to start another thread asking about which metal is better for that style of ring, you will get more traffic.

I like the idea of the symbol on the ring somewhere if you can make it sort of fit in with the rest of the design. But my inclination is to leave it off and just have the whole ring itself be the symbol, KWIM?

Yeah I have asked WF about which metal might work better, and I think it will be one of our topics for discussion tomorrow. The way I understand it white gold is harder than platinum, so it will hold up better, but at the same time it is more difficult to touch up and repair? I guess I''ll see what they recommend tomorrow.

Yeah, I was really hoping they could fit the symbol on the inside of the ring, but it just won''t work, so I''m looking for another way to incorporate it. Maybe leave the ruby out and have it on the each side of the ring as the last piece of the 3/4 engraving... maybe have it tied into the engraving somehow so you have to look closely to see it? Its not a necessity, but rather I was looking for that personal touch that might really surprise her...
