The moment is finally here!!!!! I paid for half of the ring as of this morning. The balance is to be paid when the ring is sized.

Can''t believe that it''s actually mine! Seems like I''ve been able to attach a photo too (this is the one from my first post.)

I should have it in about 6 weeks time.. can''t wait!!!!!

Six weeks is seeming like to life time here for me! I will take lots of pics when I get the ring but won''t really be wearing it until July 7th as that will be my 5th anniversary date.

Imdanny- I got the 1.33 E/VVS2. It faces up larger than the 1.51. Here are the measurements:
1.33carat (7.19x6.78.3.87)

1.51carat (6.76x6.45x4.13)

Are my assumptions right???

The 1.33 is a Cushion Brilliant (I like this one) and the 1.51 is a Modified CB.


Lisa- the rest of the specs are:

table 60%
depth 57.1%
polish very good
symmetry good
fluorescence none

Cushionawesomeness- the pave is .54 carats. Hope that helps.

Oh yeah.. almost forgot my promise to someone a few days back. I got 19% off the sticker price. Not bad huh! Dh is very happy that I stuck with it and waited until they caved. Makes this ring a huge bargain for us especially when comparing with HW prices here in Japan! It would have cost us a good 60,000 grand here!!!! Yay me!!!!

(eg. 19% of the sticker price, then didnt pay NY Sales Tax OR 10% of sticker price then didnt pay NY Sales Tax) I''d private message you on specifics but I don''t know how to do that here, or if it''s possible.

Actually what is funny, or crazy is that the 1.51 you decided not to get was one of the ones my boyfriend and I tried on at HW!!! We were freaking when we saw your post because we had just seen the rings and had not seen another new post about HW for quite awhile. It was a weird coincidence.

I wasn''t sure from your first post since you didn''t show the ratio, and only mentioned the carats, but when you did in another I was like

those digits look familiar, I didn''t remember if it was a 7.xx x 7.xx or 6.xx x 6.xx though for sure (but it''s ok now cuz I know it''s not the ring I''m going to get as I also want a CB and not C modified B if possible and the price was slightly higher than budget... but still close enough I THINK

if I was 100% certain on it and finished with exams we''d work on it. ALTHOUGH if he''s reading this I would NOT mind the 1.51 thats still there

as it was STUNNING) We also tried on a ~2+ which was waaaayyyy out of our budget and a 1.13 or 1.18 something like that was too small for my finger

which is really sad and a few others in other settings!!
