A setting like this? I know it is an antique but I would love to put a ruby or red spinel in it.

Are you sure it's a real antique? Since the stone has a GIA report, it has at least been removed from that setting to be sent in. My guess is that it's a re-pro.

I know that TL has this setting and maybe Arcadian(?) also. If you are tempted then it's always wise to upgrade the quality of the diamonds.

I have it as well, and love the design/appearance of it, but don't love how light it is - I think this is an example of skyrocketing metal prices causing them to scrimp on their molds and metal useage.

That's a gorgeous setting, and I don't see why you couldn't ask LOGR, lanbo, or any of those other stores to make one like that. I know lanbo loves getting new style ideas. LD is right, I had a similar setting, but I love the one you picked out even more! Lanbo, and the other Chinese ebay sellers also make the setting in the link above, but they're less expensive than LOGR.

If you do ask them, please let me know which seller you asked, and what they said. I could see them easily recreating a very similar setting, as it's not complex to recreate.

Here's my LOGR version of that ring, which isn't holding a stone right now, but I tried to balance a cushion in it, which is kind of large for it, just to show you.

I have this setting also with a bright pink spinel in it. Love it and wear it often.

I also have it. Its a beautiful setting. I've considered getting it in white gold I like it so much.
