Wow ~ everything looks beautiful! I also have quite an affinity for all things black and white damask... My FI often has to stop me from buying more, as we already have plates, coasters, frames, bedspread, etc... Is it possible to go overboard?

A woman after my own heart! My FI already told me "no damask wallpaper" the first time we went out house hunting. I lurve damask, and the first time I walked into a White House]Black Market store I just about fell over from the shock of finding a store created just for me.

We''re having the ceremony and reception in my family''s synagogue, which is located in Highland Park, Illinois. It backs up to a forest on one side, and then the Chicago Botanic Garden is across the street, so we will have so many wonderful places to take pictures.

The sanctuary is stunning, there are enormous stained glass windows behind along the wall, and I think it will look gorgeous during the ceremony. The synagogue just built a new social hall which turned out to be quite beautiful. We weren''t sure that we''d like it at first, but it is stunning. There is an enormous wall of extremely high ceiling to floor windows looking out on the forest, it''s so lovely. I''m so excited--I''ll post pictures when I get around to taking some.

Ohh I love the Botanical Gardens! Can''t wait to see pics! The Sanctuary sounds perfect!!

oh my gosh everything looks gorgeous! i can't wait to see al your bridesmaids standing together...i'm imagining a spring bouquet like effect with all those gorgeous soft pastels! and between you and mandarine and october2008bride---ya'll have me obsessing over black and white damask also! i was this close to buying the prettiest black and white damask bedding set from target until hubby smacked me upside the head (not literally) and made me remeber we don't really need a new bedding set.

but i thought it wouldlook gorgeous if we painted our room a pale pale blue with a black glass chandelier i saw at z gallerie (so gorgeous) and the b&w damask bedding. sigh. lol...sorry for totally went off topic! i can't wait to see your wedding cometogether...it looks just absolutely lovely!

GingerB--That''s so funny about the bedding! My poor FI--I once booked a hotel because they had damask wallpaper in the photos of their rooms and it turned out to be a bit of a damask overkill, but I loved it. My FI said it made him dizzy just being in the room, but he''s a trooper so he didn''t complain much. I also love French toile, but FI said I had to pick one or the other for our wedding. I definitely agree with that. (Can you imagine? It would be print OVERLOAD.)

Damask seems to be really popular lately, I used to have a difficult time finding anything damask and now it''s all over the place, I''m in heaven! Now if I can only find pale yellow damask designs, that would be just perfect . . .

It all looks fabulous. I lifted that 1st BM dress picture from your other thread because I think it''s darling. The damask is awesome. Everything is so classy.

I finally found a pair of shoes! I''ve been searching everywhere, high and low, inexpensive and ridiculously priced, and guess where I ended up today during a break between work and a meeting? David''s Bridal--the same DB that brought in a horribly hemmed dress for my first gown.

ANYWAY, I was desperate because I have my first fitting tomorrow and I really wanted to have my shoes for the fitting. The heels are a bit lower than I wanted, I believe they''re around 3 inches, but they meet all my criteria:
- Peak-a-boo toe
- Solid back (so my gown won''t get caught between my heel and the shoe when I walk, I HATE that.)
- Ankle strap (I need the support)
- A bit o'' bling

AND they were very cheap--only $55! I can''t believe it. I''m going to walk around in them for a few days to make sure they''re comfortable.
