Having second thoughts on a yellow gold halo for my oval diamond

Didn’t you used to have this diamond in a white halo?

Yes, I did. It was originally in this setting (as pictured) but I had a custom halo added. It was never perfect, had an airline gap but I wore it that way for 6+ years. I’ve recently lost a significant amount of weight and since this setting isn’t sizable anymore (eternity style), I had the halo head removed, hoping to alleviate the extra weight. It helped minimally, but I still need a new setting that feels secure on my hand.

I really did like the white gold halo. Since I’m wearing yellow gold on my left land, I’d prefer my oval be in yellow as well. I’d like to swap it out with the round solitaire on occasion.
