Can the HCA be used for OECs?


I just thought I''d try it for fun and the result is pretty interesting. I plugged in my current 0.88ct OEC and the result came back with a 1.4 score FIC diamond. When I plugged in the other stats for the 0.79ct OEC I was thinking of getting, the result was 5.4 I never got to see the the 0.79ct OEC so I cannot comment on it.

So, what do you think? Can the HCA weed out OECs or that''s just for RBs?

yes and no.

Old cuts that are cushion shaped will not be accurate, and old cuts have very short lower girdles and often very small tables - it would be better that the lower girdles would be very long with a small table.

But HCA will help to narrow down the better looking old cuts
