How unique and beautiful your ring is. Congratulations!

That is such a beautiful and unique ring! I am kind of jealous, as it looks like it might even have possibly gone with my hard-to-match wedding band, but it''s too late now as I got something else....

Gorgeous ring!! I absolutely love the yellow gold and your diamond looks stunning in that setting. Congratulations on your engagement!!

What a beautiful and unique ring!!

Thank you everyone for your compliments! Initially, I really liked the thought of being one of those "J Color Stone in Platinum" girls (love those pics, ya''ll!!), but platinum looked so washed out on my hand (I tend to have "warmer" coloring anyway). I love that the setting is so unusual. Whiteflash hasn''t really marketed the Champaigne pave in yellow gold setting, and Brian said that one had never been sold one to anyone in Texas. I like the idea that I''m the only one in Texas with this ring (for the moment, anyway!) - next best thing to custom, I think.

The J stone is really interesting. In some lighting conditions, it''s absolutely white and sparkling. When I first saw the ring (it was sunset) and asked Chuck if it was the same stone we picked out, I said, "That''s not a J!" Now that I''ve worn it for a few days, I''ve found that the stone is darker in direct sunlight or darker lighting. But in the MAJORITY of lighting conditions, it sparkles so much that you can''t see any color at all!

JCJD - Thanks for the info. I really like the matte finish, and I get the impression that it wouldn''t show minor scratches like a high polished finish would. I think I like the idea of wearing the wband on the same finger as the ering, so I might try them unsoldered for a year to see how they wear. I''ll either accept the facts, get them soldered, or take it in periodically for refinishing.

Everyone - Yes, Chuck is a sweetheart! He really wanted the proposal to be a surprise, since I had input into the ring and sort of knew what was coming.

Matatora - Yes, I kept the tennis ball! I like the shadow box idea!

I''ve got to chime in too! I''m not normally a big fan out yellow gold, but that ring is just LOVELY. Unique and really beautiful!

When we visited Texas we tried on that setting, it''s really lovely in person...and I am not even a yellow gold person. Very classy!!
