Happy new week everyone!
I hope all of you who celebrated Thanksgiving had a joyous and memorable holiday with your family and friends, and enjoyed a few yummy eatables!
Now the Christmas Holiday is looming ever larger....It really feels like yesterday it was last Christmas * shakes head wondering where the time went....*
Anyway. There is time still and certainly worth making the effort to push on towards your goals even with the Holidays so close. Remember it is the good choices you make over the next few weeks, months and years which will make the difference and help you achieve your goals, not that you overindulged at a Holiday party or for a couple of days over the Holiday itself! There has to be a balance, so plan a campaign that will best work for you to help you navigate the Holiday goodies that pop up everywhere. For example, my plan as always is to continue normally, but as I don't socialize much, when I do I will eat what I want. I am a grazer rather than an eater of large dinners, so I find a sit down dinner somewhat easier to not overdo things rather than a buffet with canapes etc. I eat exactly what I want on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day as we call the day after Christmas in the UK. After that, I get back on track by concentrating on the conveniently supplied lean protein in the house such as the turkey and the ham, along with suitable healthy accompaniments.
So this week I thought it might be worth discussing our various strategies for the main Holiday, and if you don't have one, maybe think of one which might work for you. I find it really helps alleviate the feelings of guilt that I used to suffer by planning things out a bit.
But also keep on track for now - there is still time to see some really positive results before the Holiday kicks off - or to fit into that little black dress etc!
Have a great week
