Heee! It's 9.5 by 7 with a 2.5 halo. So total of 14.5mm lengthways and 12mm wide. It's not too bad. This is the smallest I will go though I think!

I'm laughing right now because that's the absolute largest I will go. So it's huge to me! LONG LIVE SNOTS!

Thank you! I was going to go big zircon with all the bells and whistles but I'm glad I didn't.

This makes for a nice everyday ring as it's much tougher than zircon. I'm also finding that it's a nice complimentary right hand ring to all the bigger rings.

I love zircon and paraiba but…the softness bites me. And I try to be so careful!

I'm very nervous about the two tourmalines and Spess that I own. Especially as they're big with lots of surfaces to knock/scratch.

Oh you don’t really want to know, but I’ll tell you. I was fascinated with paraiba tourmalines and my husband and I had a windfall from selling our house and buying one for half the price. My dad was friends with well known jeweller, and he introduced me. I told this man what I wanted, and he found me a 6 carat AGL and GIA certed Brazil paraiba of 3.5/70 color grade. This was in 2006-2007. I had a custom setting made for a ring, and only wore it out to dinner. I knew it was fragile. 18 months later our world collapsed (2008-2009) and I had to sell it because my husband—well, it was not my fault, but we needed the money desperately. I went back to this very nice man whom I had bought the stone from, and he agreed to sell it for me. I sent it back and got a call that the ring was scratched and would have to be recut before he would offer it for sale. And there was a chance it would crack. Gulp. It did not; I only lost 7% of the purchase price, but it was a lesson I’ll never forget.

It's here!!! Basic heat only according to GIA!

I love it!!!!! Not my usual frufru but considering my feelings about blue I did my best to keep the budget as low as I could so I'm locked out of my own bauble thread because it's not big enough lol.

Saw this in the CS Under 2k thread, and thought it is a bit small for you!

However, you did very well in having this stone and ring for under 2k, thanks for sharing!!!

Lil Sis has been whining that my hand me down sapphires to her are too small and she wants a big tanzanite.

I've told her, no tanzanites!!! If she wants a bigger blue just get a 3+ ct heated sapphire and a decent halo. Will probably cost the same as a frufru tanzanite ring and she can bang it around to her hearts content.
