Does anyone here have a helix (Upper cartilage) piercing & if so do you still wear earrings there or not? What were the pros & cons? Debating getting one as I have 6 piercings total..

I had my left cartilage pierced 2x in my youth, but it got infected both times due to being an avid swimmer and not taking care of the piercing. I took 16 year old daughter to get hers pierced at a professional piercing studio about 6 months ago, and it has healed well, she looks great, making me want to get it done again. You should do it!D1DC1AEA-4045-4D17-A2A3-2FD62781B33E.jpeg

Yes. One on each ear (plus others). I had them done when I was 10. They took nearly a year to fully heal. I have other interesting ear piercings as well. I've got new earrings coming Monday so I'll post a pic then.

Relieved to hear this as my triple flat piercing is 5 months in and will likely take a year to heal fully.

Ok they came early! I just put them in so they're a bit red, I love them! I have my tragus done as well but I'm saving up for new tiny flat back studs for them.IMG_20200613_114828.jpg

I have mine done. It took a year to heal. I couldn’t sleep on that side for the whole time.
My 10 year daughter got hers done, a year ago, with a professional body piercer & it took 6 months to heal.

Your rook piercing looks good! My rook piercing was hellish and I quickly gave it up. You have great ear anatomy for that one @Asscherhalo_lover .

My flat piercing I had for 1.5 years before I just gave it up. Every time I accidentally touched it, it still hurt. I have my daith and tragus still. They have been perfect. I did have healed cartilage piercings years ago.

Thank you! I actually have double tragus on each side, I need new studs for those. Those tooka long time to heal, the tragus was the quickest for me! Even for that I want to find a nice barbell for it eventually.

@Asscherhalo_lover Unfortunately, my tragus is barely big enough for one piercing. It almost feels like failure to me, lol. My daughter has the same problem but a bit worse. At least mine is easy to change. Hers requires the taper every time, but even then it's really hard! Both of my daughters also have daith piercings. We all forget about them then when people notice them it's almost embarrassing. I truthfully just like piercings for my own sake, and my hair covers them 99% of the time.
