Hi All,

Need some help deciding between two round diamonds from the same vendor.

Linked the HCA, ASET and Hearts images below. They are approx 1.3 ct round stones & AGS Certified.

Which would you choose? and why, based on these images?

Let me know if you need other information.

Diamond 1 (D1)'s info:

VS.

Diamond 2 (D2)'s info:

Follow-up question: if you picked D2, do you think it is worth approx $1k USD more? (D2 is 0.027ct bigger, and a I color vs. J )

Thanks all!

Definitely the first one!!! I love a smaller table.

Assuming same color and clarity, I would also choose #1. Either stone looks great, though!

I too prefer #1! I love the slightly fatter arrows and smaller table.

you probably couldn't tell them apart in real life if they are the same size and color.

I would go with number 1, looks better to me

Hi all,

Thanks very much for your feedback, seems like D1 is almost the clear winner.

One last sanity check, I looked at the magnified rock picture and while they are both VS2 diamonds, I note that you can see some slight imperfections in the upper left corner of D1.

Would that be a deal breaker for some of you?

It's a VS2. Not IF....so zoomed in that much, you are bound to see something. Considering in real life though that your stone will look smaller than a dime, I really wouldn't worry about that!!

I think the inclusion in #2 is more apparent. You can see it in the hearts image and in the dark part of the 10:00 arrow on the magnified image.

#1 is the winner.

Thanks everyone for all your input - going with #1 :)

Nice choice, nediag! A later choice goes for number 1 as well!
