Help between two diamonds

Yes I did, but I just noticed that the only 2 diamond left for me to choose both have old dated certificates, so I really think I should wait till February.

This hurts a lot actually... So, for years I’ve been saving money specially, to buy a diamond. As a full time housewife with no income, I need to find out a way for me to get a diamond that I want without asking my DH for it. So, I save by buying stocks, a little bit at a time, for example Tesla, apple, Roku, etc. got them wayyyy less than what they are right now, then till the moment I finally saved enough money, I sold them all, I waited till I thought I found a diamond that I want to get and til the last minute I needed to pay for it. But then, I got no diamond to buy and those stocks prices increased A LOT since I sold them... Like a whole lot! This feeling really really makes me crazy.... It really hurts

Don’t mean to hijack either— I’m sorry you didn’t find a stone yet. I’m sure you will. It is so frustrating and challenging. I spent a long time looking for my diamond and had to return a stone to HPD. As far as the old certs, I would ask VC about it. Are you concerned that it is a second hand stone? I tend to think Victor isn’t doing anything fishy. In fact, the stone I bought has an older cert date. I specifically asked Victor himself about it- he explained to me that he does not do the volume of business that larger businesses do. He is essentially a small business. He did offer to have my stone regraded (which he told me only takes a few days) so I’m sure he would do this for you too. I hope you find your dream stone soon.

OP- let us know which have stone you chose. Can‘t wait for pics!

Did any one call out to you? I’m not an expert at all— but I recently selected a diamond from 4 options. Can you eliminate one or two? consider starting with eliminating one or two— then maybe the final one will stand out. I recently learned that I can see color in diamonds and I had to return an H color that I bought. Try to eliminate one or two and then maybe ask for a revised photo/video. 4 is a lot to choose from

They all look gorgeous! I can't tell the difference between them and they all look the same size to me. I would go with the cheapest! Good luck!

Yes I ended up taking that one. Here are the diamonds and their details:

I like the 61% depth and the jump in clarity makes it more mind clean.

The 3.072 inclusion is visible when up close and the 3.088 is tinted brown instead of yellow which I don’t want. The G was too far over budget.

I think that's an outstanding choice! In the long run, VS1 is so mind clean for a larger stone and worth it to me! All of the H's look good to me compared to the G, but I agree that I would have chosen the same one you did! Please come back and show us the finished ring after you get it!

WF only have 3 diamonds in 2.5-3ct in my price range, VC only have 1 diamond in my price range, HPD none, but I like none of them. If I buy one, I definitely will upgrade it as soon as they got new inventory. So my option now isn’t about the diamond but which vendor I want to be tied with and if none is benefited me in anyway, I think its best to keep my option open, wait and see in couple months which one of the 3 vendors offered the best option for me.

For me, it would depend on the amount of brown. I have seen some that were about K color with a brown undertone and that is more problematic. It would be less noticeable in an H. But I'd truly need to see that stone in person to know if I could see it at all. I cannot detect it in the side view photo. But I can see that the one you chose is a little whiter than the other two face up.

Yes, whiter face up is a great bonus! I totally agree with you about the JA videos. You can absolutely see the stones with serious brown undertones and I wouldn't want one, either. However, like you said, WF wouldn't put a bad one in their ACA line. I find it so honest of them to even disclose it when we can't even detect it in the photos. I'd still choose exactly the same one you did! It's mind clean in all respects!
