Help Buying an Oval, Please! Im new at this!!

I am looking for a 1-1.5 carrat, Oval Cut, D-E-F, VS1 at worst stone for my girlfriend. What should I pay? I realy apprecieate any help, I am educating myself as we speek. This site is a great help!

Only for your carat range you will get quite a difference in the price.

You can get a ball park of internet asking prices by doing search from the front page of this site.

My Budget is 8K, so I was more along the lines wondering what sort of Oval I can expect for that range...

Well, it seems you could get something like 1.3 carat, E-F color, and VS1 clarity (give or take). There are plenty of stones listed in this price/quality range. I didn't check the cut though.
