Hello. I'm on a mission to find the best 1.5 carat princess cut diamond in the $9,000-11,000.00 price range. Unfortunately, the more I learn, the less I think I know. When I finally understood the ideal table/depth for a princess cut I learned all about how crown/pavillion play a huge role in the brilliance of the stone. Unfortunately, as the crown/pavillion is not on the GIA report, most vendors (Brick & Mortar/Online) simply don't have this kind of information.

Is there any way to rate a stone such as this: http://www.jamesallen.com/#!/loose-diamonds/Princess-cut/1.50-carat-G-color-VS2-clarity-sku-189530 without this information?

I saw the Blue Nile has signature ideals which are a little pricier but do have the additional info. Should I be looking at these stones?

Can someone please help point me in the direction and give me some examples of stones I should be looking at?

Thanks

I think the stone you found at JA looks stunning. You can put that on hold and request an ASET image and it'll show you how well the stone performs. I wouldn't suggest getting the stone from anywhere where you can't see the stone if you're buying online. I also wouldn't suggest going to the mall or any small jeweler that your friends or family would recommend. You will always find better prices online, and JA really does have the best option for buying online.

A few other options:

A smidge higher than the budget:

Thanks for your response. I did see the goodoldgold stone previously. What confused me was how a stone with a table (66.4)/depth (75.4) which were so far apart would create an ideal cut.
