It will be a suprise. She knows it's going to happen at some point but has no idea so soon.

She'll least expect it especially since it's going to happen at a concert!

Haha, good point! I'm even debating leaving the 'real' ring at home for this very fact. However, I did jokingly say to my GF (a few years ago mind you) that when I propose I'm going to get one of those novalty rings from those little toy vending machines you see out the front of the supermarket! So might do that just for a little 'peace of mind'... Hahaha...

RING HAS ARRIVED... In Australia that is...

Left BGD on Tuesday, 7/12... Got a call from Fedex yesterderday (Thursday, 9/12)...

Provided them with the AUSFTA paperwork that BGD had supplied me.

Paid my 10% GST + Customs Broker Fee. Note, I did not have to pay any Import Duty upfront!

RING HAS CLEARED and looks like it should be at my work on Monday!

I honestly can't believe how quick it was to get from the USA to AUS! Denise @ BGD told me I had nothing to worry about!

Soo can't wait. My GF was telling me last night that I'm soo slack I couldn't even organise getting engaged! Hahaha... I'm soo good at suprises!

RING HAS ARRIVED!

Well after Fedex failing miserably to deliver the ring yesterday (couldn't find address), the ring has finally been delivered on it's second attempt!

Have to say, took me a while to even get into the package as BGD packed the item so well for such a small item!

First impressions, STUNNING!

The diamond appeared whiter than the diamonds I had viewed previously and alot more sparkly under normal office lighting! I can't wait to take it home and have a play with it in sunlight! Additionally, for a 0.73ct, it looks bigger than I can recall other similar sized diamonds we viewed here locally.

I'm very happy with the purchase and will post pictures when I can. Problem now is holding out until Friday night to give it to her!

I think I'm definitely going to get a 'dummy' ring for when we are at the concert, the real ring is just too nice! Hehehe...

BTW, does anybody have any tips for keeping it clean etc. I'm too scared to touch it without the provided gloves at the moment incase it dulls my beautiful rock!

YAY!!! glad it arrived safe a spay of windex and a soft cloth (like you clean sunglasses with) should do the trick - dont use paper towel though!!
