In light of my last post I have decided on going with an hpht diamond instead of a cvd. I have found a few decent hphts and 1 cvd. I think they are fine from all the research I have done but would like you alls help in choosing the best one here. I have a James Allan voucher for about $1100 so I am quite limited in my options here. Here are the diamonds I chose so far, of course if theres another option you think is better out there feel free to let me know. :)

Option 1: HPHT 1.21c (I think its the best option because of cut and its brightness, but is it blue tinged?) This diamond also came with this diagram

Option 2: HPHT 1.23c (happy medium of the 2)

Option 3: CVD 1.22c (I think its the worst option but because it doesnt glow as much as the hphts do/ maybe slightly grey and lifeless?)

After speaking with a James Allen agent I think we narrowed it down to these 2.

Option 1: HPHT 1.21c This diamond also came with this diagram

And

Option 5: HPHT 1.2c (this one seems to have a quite natural color like natural)

Ive been told these agents are often not trained properly though but from what they told me I can certainly see with my eye also. Please let me know if these are good options or if theres a better one. I am so far more so leaning to the 1.2c though for that natural tinge

I like the 1.20 D a lot better than the other one. Hope you’re the one who put it on hold!

I put that 1.2c on hold but I also put this one on hold. Could you guys help me chose?

Here are the idealscopes

seems to be a hearts and arrow and a nice non blue tint. Thank you for the help :)

@Kim N, for the sake of education can you explain what you like about the 1.23 more than the 1.20? Asking for eye-training purposes.

I agree with @Kim N but I would also love to hear their insight. To me it seems to have really defined arrows. The color, brilliance, and fire is also quite comparable to that of a real diamond rather a lab hpht's blue tinge or a cvd's brown tinge.

This is the blue tinge on HPHT I am talking about:

Here is an example of a CVD with brown/grey tinge:

The 1.20 may have slight paddling at 9 o'clock and possibly 3 o'clock. I also like the H&A designation on the 1.23 (with the usual caveat that it doesn't guarantee true H&A since they don't provide actual H&A images).

I wondered if the 1.23 was darker under the table when compared with the 1.20 in the en face views.

Could you explain that again? Do you mean the leds dimmer or something in the room being darker or something with the diamond being darker?

IMO the photographer was wearing a brown shirt.

I always wondered why they take pictures with the person actively in the room. Surely there's a better way so that no other colors sneak into the photo.
