Hello! I am getting a beautiful 8mm transitional cut moissanite set into a 14k yellow gold pendant to wear on my wedding day.
I'm very excited, but struggling with some of the options.
Options are a 3 prong, or a 4 prong in this orientation.
And here was my inspiration pictures:
I just want something other than the traditional basket style setting, but not necessarily what's shown above. Here's the first CAD from DK (<3)
I'm pleasantly surprised he can do a 3 prong in this style, but I'm not sure I like the tiny extra loops above which might be required to help keep the stone stable.
Should I switch it to a 4 prong? Are there any other examples of interesting setting styles you know of? I'm having trouble imagining something different but I'd love for it to be more open or more reflective of something like my engagement ring's setting, (similar to this):
But that's really hard to translate into a pendant setting that will lay flat against my chest.
