The hearts and arrows pictures are not of this stone; 59T with 41.2 PA looks different that picture, which I guess is supposed to be "representative." I would guess the table in that picture is about 56.

We both really like these three cushion cuts. The two around $12,500 and $13,000 would fit our budget, and the pictures look like they're very nice diamonds. I think I've seen mentioned that Excel Diamonds is a PS vendor. Is that true? What would you guys think of these?

Good to know. They're running a 5% off diamond sale through Valentine's Day, so I guess that's about the same as the PS discount . . .

Discounts are always good, but what counts is the bottom line. Not all PS vendors offer an extra discount for being a PS member as they give everyone the same prices.

I know she wants a cushion but I would strongly encourage you to have them take a picture of a cushion you like with something like a 1.7 and 2 ct round just to get perspective of the sizes since it sounds like size is an important factor for her.

It is not typical. Î am hoping it indicates light return. We will see when the asset comes. When diamond shopping it is a good strategy to look for the one that b is different from the others.

I like that one as well. My only concern is that it looks somewhat hazy in the middle. Any chance that's the fluorescence?

No. Their pictures just aren't very good.

Virtually all cushions show leakage, I'm not sure why they mentioned that.

Are they just saying that it leaks more than a round? Well, of course.

Are they saying it leaks more than nicely cut cushions should? Let them know that size is your first priority.

Eh. I'm not impressed with Judah at Excel Diamond. After I requested the ASET images for the diamonds, he asked whether I didn't believe him and got very defensive. I'm not sure what that was all about. In any event, it looks like I'll be looking at other alternatives . . . If you come across anything, please let me know.

Any thoughts on this one? It's an H, SI1. Per my correspondence with the dealer, it's got a good white color and it's eye clean. Price is $13,300. No ASET available.

It's a pretty diamond, and I really like that it's rectangular.

I am sure it is just a reflection of something in the environment. It is hard to tell much from that picture, but that is a fairly elongated cushion. I'd prefer one that is not quite that long, personally. But does she like really long ones?

Yes. Both of us prefer a more rectangular shape as opposed to something square -- that's one of the reasons we particularly like it.

Can anyone tell me what color this one appears to be based off the picture? I found it here at a local jeweler. It's graded as an I, VVS2 (by GIA), but it honestly looks like it could pass for an H based off what I've seen. I particularly like the way it's cut.
