Hi everyone, Im new to the forum and love all the information I have found on here. My boyfriend and I are currently looking for a H&A round stone online. The budget for the stone is around 6k. As far as color goes Im willing to go down to I and for clarity all i really care about is that its eye clean. If you could please help me find the biggest h&a stone as possible within the budget and specs I would greatly appreciate it!

I have looked at these two stones so far; whats your opinion on them?

Stone 1: 1.316ct I SI1
depth %: 62.6
table%: 55.8
Crown Angle: 35
Pavilion Angle: 41.2
Measurements: 6.99 - 7.02 x 4.38mm
AGS Report #: 01040379710002

Stone 2: 1.207ct H SI1
depth %: 61.7
table%: 56.8
Crown Angle: 35.2
Pavilion Angle: 40.7
Measurements: 6.79 - 6.83 x 4.21 mm
AGS Report #: 0010279809

Hi triplezero and welcome!

The second diamond looks best, the first is what we call a steep deep and also it is too deep for me personally, there is a chance that it will show light leakage, do you have any images for these and especially images of the hearts and arrows?

The second one looks better, do you know if it is eyeclean?

Also I don't know if you would consider J colour, if so this might fit the bill

Not h&a but a great cut

Thanks so much for the response Lorelei and texirish! I looked over the stones you recommended. Im not sure about the J, I have seen an I color stone at Tiffanys and didnt notice any color so maybe its just a mind thing. Im gonna try to get images of the second stone for you and will just forget about the first one. Ultimately the most important thing to me is to have the best hearts and arrows cut and not go below the 1ct mark. I want a diamond that will sparkle like crazy and catch your eye from across the room, lol. That being said I will sacrifice size in order to get the BEST possible cut.

Texirish, I looked at the WF 1.17ct and noticed that it said its sold. The other stones look good though.

Thanks again for all your help!

Looks like most of my selections have sold already, I checked them this morning to make sure they were available when I posted them - oh well, it happens.

I would take a look at some J colour in person if you can, you could find that a J colour is fine for you.

Ok ,so I have narrowed down my search to 3 stones. After looking at pics and videos on GOG I decided that I would have no problem with a J colour.
The first stone is the one from GOG that Lorelie found and the other two are from BG.

Which one would you pick and why.

They all look great but if your first preference was for an I colour, then I would go with the second BGD stone if it is said to be eyeclean to your standards.

Well color aside would the second BG stone still be your pick or would you then go with the 1.3. Sorry for all the questions Im just having a hard time deciding. Is there much difference in size between a 1.2 and 1.3?

I would go w/ the 1.3 J from good old gold. As recent a J owner myself a well cut J can show like a H or I and that stone there looks beautiful. Plus good old gold has a great upgrade policy for the future if u want to trade up in color down the line!
