Take a look at Ebay... there are plenty of .15 ct for around 50$. I would give it in a beautiful case and explain it's a true diamond and it's precious! You coud begin to educate your little boy to the beauty of this type of stone!

Oh we didn't end up with an ugly diamond! Wink found me a great stone in my price range. It's not like the diamonds we see here with perfect cut color and clarity, but it is sparkly and pretty and not at all like the frozen spit on ebay. I think it was a nice balance between pricescope diamonds and ebay junk.
I think he will definately be some kind of scientist - the kid loves to read about natural disastors, weather, rocks and minerals, volcanoes etc...
