Please!

I''ve posted my table arrangement idea before, but briefy:

On each table there are going to be three different vases, all painted a buttery yellow on the inside. The first will be a tall/skinny vase with a couple of stems of yellow snap dragons. The second will be a slightly shorter/wider oval vase with a couple of stems of white oriental lilies. the final vase will be a shorter/rounder fishbowl vase filled with cream hydrangeas.

the florist is providing the flowers, but i''m getting the vases and painting the insides.

hopefully, it''ll turn out something like this

So far, I bought the hydrangea and lily vases off of a website called save-on-crafts. Great stuff. Great prices.

however, they are all sold out of this 8" tall vase

does anyone know of another site -- they were selling for around $0.99

Thanks! but they are still a little pricey at $6.50 each. it''s a good option though.

I recently got some little vases and tealight holders at a local fabric store in their craft and candle section. Maybe you could check a fabric store near you. Alot of items are on sale and I got my tealight holders for 41 cents...maybe you''ll get lucky...

Lulu, I *love* the pastel vases. Are you planning on painting them yourself? If so, what kind of paint will you use (and why are you painting the inside instead of the outside?). I''ve searched and searched for baby blue ceramic bowls/vases but can''t find any in bulk.

ebree,

this has been a process of trial and error

I first tried regular paint on the outside of a normal vase -- the problem was that it looked very at-home-DIY, complete with uneven streaks, etc.

so then i thought perhaps painting the inside would be better. it actually looks really great painted on the inside -- mistakes are less apparent and it has a sory of translucence to the color which i love. But, it''s nearly impossible to do, so

I found that spray paint was the perfect solution.

krylon has a bunch of different lines and i found a nice soft yellow -- i bet they''d have a blue you''d like. it''s FAST, so much faster than with a brush and even.

now i just need that tall/skinny one
