Hello!

I got this beautiful preloved 1 Carat pink sapphire from cbianco. Desert rose sold it via her Instagram. The stone is a nice calibrated 6x5 mm.

I am looking for suggestions to set it. I think I want to do a halo but I don't know what to use - should I do melee diamonds or a colored stone like yellow sapphires, blue sapphires or maybe even paraibas? I am trying to keep costs down and not splurge too much. The stone itself is heated and not very pricey.

I have been looking at the James Allen settings. They have a sale happening right now.

I have also asked David Klass for a quote.

I might even ask Yvonne Raley if she would be willing to set it in one of her halo rings. Dunno if she'd be willing to set an outside stone but I do love her work esp with colored gems.

Any ideas? What would you do?

I think, appearance-wise, it's a perfect candidate for a colorless diamond halo in white metal. Given that it's petite and vivid pink, I'd aim to accentuate and not distract from it.

An air gap/line halo in white metal, with 4 accent/bigger diamonds?

I believe this is an Ivy and Rose setting.

I think you're right about white metal. I'll go for white gold.

That's so pretty ❤️

I think a slightly bubbly halo would be perfect for that stone. Here's one in my mind, except without the 2 extra stones on the side:

Kind of like a miniature version of @elle_71125's magnificent sweet pea:kiss2:

That is literally my dream pink sapphire ring I love it so much! And I asked David Klass about re-making it. I'm looking for a budget option though.

Halo it with both white diamond and blue-green emerald or tourmaline. Since the center stone is less pricey, I'd probably go with tourmaline. So it'd be center stone with an inner halo of white diamonds and an outer halo of blue-green tourmaline.

Stuller has a line called ever&ever that has really nice affordable rings with romantic designs and diamond accents. I have seen them in person and they are lovely and delicate.

Oh I will look it up right now. Thanks!

Hi friends! My pink sapphire is set and I just received it! I am in love.

DanielM set my stone in a halo of diamonds in 18k wg, and he was such a dream to work with. He's done projects for me before and it's always been a smooth and easy experience. Very pleased with the way the ring looks. Thank you to everyone who gave me suggestions!

I'm going to name her Cosmos, like the flower.

Here are some photos!
