I agree with DF

I think it''s gorgeous just how it is!

However my main worry would be the stones falling out

I too agree that it is a beautiful set! But I also agree that the stones shouldn''t be falling out. That''s a big no no.

I hope you decide what it is you really want. You''ll figure it out. Sometimes it just takes time and maybe you''ll decide that your rings are beautiful ''as is''. Decisions, decisions, decisions....it ain''t easy, is it?!?!

Just wanted to update everyone on what happened. After spending a lot of time thinking about what I want I went back to the jewlers yesterday. I think I was just having a little bit of buyers remorse about my setting. I am a really indecisive person even about unimportant things, so it has been hard for me to commit to one setting! Even when I was picking my wedding dress, I found it really hard to choose one. Anyway, I looked at a lot of different settings online and then looked at a lot of different setting in the store, and decided that I still love mine. I measured it, and it''s actually only just over 2mm thick, which is pretty thin!!! I think wearing both rings together is a bit heavy for me, but they look great separately, and when I get married I''ll move the engagement ring over to my right hand and wear the wedding band on my left. Lucky me, my ring fingers on both hands are the exact same size!

OK, as for the stones falling - the jewler was horrified that the stones had fallen out and assured me they had sold that setting numerous times with no complaints and no stones falling out. They said they would fix it immediately and that this should not happen. I said I was careful with my ring and can''t believe that it happened. They said that I don''t have to be careful, I can wear it like any other ring - just not lifting weights or riding a bike. They also said you shouldn''t do that with any ring - pave or not, b/c it can bend the setting and loosen stones (even your main stone).

I was worried about the stones falling out of my wedding band, and asked them if they needed to take a look at it. They looked at it with a loupe and then the owner took the ring and dropped it on the desk a few times!!!! Of course, nothing happened, and he said that the rings are built so they can withstand some trauma. Anyway, they fixed my e-ring ASAP and I already picked it up today and it looks amazing! Thanks everyone for your help. Hopefully no more stones will fall out. If they do...I''ll deal with it then, but until then I am happy again!

congrats jadove, i think your set is lovely and sometimes it takes re-falling in love with it again to make yourself happy with it. sometimes i think i want another setting but then if i go try on some at the store, it''s rare that i REALLY love something different than my setting. there are a few but most of them just look pretty in the case or on someone else''s hand.

how funny that they dropped your wring on the desk to show it''s sturdy, that would have freaked me out but i guess if he is willing to fix it if anything happens to it, then it doesnt matter!

Oh I am so glad to hear that!!! First, that your jeweler fixed it already (!) and is willing to stand behind the product, and second that you have fallen back in love with your setting!!! I think it really is beautiful and I bet that with time you''ll come to love the set on one hand - but wearing them on different hands is just as good! So happy to hear your thread has a happy ending!

I''m so glad that you decided to keep them. They really are beautiful! Just don''t go throwing them down on desks though!!!

I would have freaked out too!

Anyways, ENJOY!!!!!!

Oh good for you!
I am indecisive, too, so I hear you! I''m so glad your rings are already checked out & fixed and you can relax a little.
Yea!

I''m glad you decided to keep your set. It really is gorgeous and if your jeweler is willing to fix any stones that pop out, then don''t worry about it, enjoy it.

It is pretty interesting that he told you not to go to the gym etc. with the rings and then proceeded to drop them several times on the desk

. that would really freak me out, but I''m glad everything is okay

I''m so glad that you decided to keep and enjoy your gorgeous rings and that they jeweler checked them both out for you!

I think your set is very pretty. And sorry to go against the flow here...But for me (DISCLAIMER, this is just my personal opinion) -- I think the band of the engagement ring and the wedding band would be too big for me. I very much want a very thin band, like Ali''s Vera Wang, or some Daniel K settings. I love the look of a very thin band with pave, and a matching very thin eternity wedding band. I also have short fingers, so maybe that''s why I like the very thin bands.

I have no idea how difficult it may be to change the setting but its worth a try to ask.

OK the saga continues.....another diamond fell out of my e-ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say both me and my fiance are quite upset about this. Going to have to make another trip to the jewellers tomorrow!!!! What do I do?? Now that I love my setting again I fear that I will HAVE to change it. Why does this keep on happening to me? I know it''s not life or death or anything remotely serious, but it''s just a PAIN!!

OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that is just so unbelievable! It might be completely ridiculous but what about asking them to redo the enitre setting? I have no idea how long this would take etc is it custom? How hard is it to remelt the ring and do the whole thing over? It just sounds like a plain crappy job! I am so sorry this is happening to you! Just not fair!

On the other hand I am happy to hear you love your setting again, I was afraid it would have to go bye-bye

Hope it can all be worked out and put to rest!

hmmm i don''t know that going custom would be any more sturdy than what she has now...sorry to hear this jadove! it really is a pain when you have to keep dealing with small stuff like this that piles up! take your ring back to your jeweler and find out what your options are. maybe fate is telling you something?!?!?!

I feel like fate is telling me to get a new setting! I just called the jewellers and they said to come in and talk about the options. I don''t have time for this - I have exams to study for!
