Please help me decide if this is a good deal! Of course I'm a newbie! But I can get this stone for $7,100. I was thinking of putting it into a micropave halo. Not like the regular pave halo. Thoughts?

I also am very nervous about purchasing the diamond online and Leibish's policy is confusing. If I return it in the same condition within the 30 days, do I get 100% of my money back?

I've had very good experiences with Leibish.

Leibish is very reputable and their return policy is quite good- you get 100% money back if you return the gem- you do have to pay for return shipping and if you're in the US, they have a New York address you can return it to. I don't really know if it's a good price, but the yellow tone of it looks like a pretty shade of yellow and FCDs are all about color.

Also, Leish lists their diamonds on eBay with the "best offer" option. I can't remember their seller ID (I think it's myfancycolordiamonds), but if you do a search for Leibish (include the description search) you will find them.

Personally, I think that it is lovely stone!

Hi,

I had been looking for a yellow diamond a few months back. I came across a fancy light yellow IF for 7,600 at 1.75. FLY is less expensive than FY. Someone grabbed it from me before I could decide. Now I don't see anything like it . This color looks nice to me and i think its a fair price. I hoped you logged in and set up an account with them, as those prices usually are less than whats shown if you don't have an account. I just love the idea of owning a flawless diamond. iknow your eye cannot tell, but that fact appeals enormously to me.

Don't linger. People read here and will steal your stone. It looks great to me, price and all. Fair price.

Annette

You should check the angles for good cut cushions over in RT. 69% depth may be too deep. You need table measurement as well.
I think they can help.

You can't really use the same measurements for FCDs as for colorless diamonds as they are cut to enhance color and so will not necessarily conform to the standard cut angles you see in regular diamonds. I do agree with Annette that if you are interested buy it as there are lots of lurkers on this site!

Hi,

When I was looking I went to Rocky Talky and they did indeed give advise on the stone. Rock Diamond is there, Kenny and a few others. While it is true , the stone is cut for color, there are proportions that make for a more desirable cut. Put the stone on Reserve and then you can put it up for comments in RT.

Thank you all for your help! I did reserve the stone and I also posted in RT. Thanks again!
